Bakery & Farm in the Heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia

We offer organic, wood-fired, wild-leavened sourdough breads and pastries twice a month throughout the year. Place an order and pick up your bread at the farm. Our mission is to connect our community with nourishing products, wonderful people, and the crafts of talented local artisans.

If you would like to place a pre-order for pick-up on these days, please visit our ordering tab. If you pre-order, your packaged order will be available in the building closest to the road, the “Mill Barn.” Or, just come to the Farm on these days, between 10am and 2pm, to order your breads, pastries, and coffees in the Bread Barn.

Between April and November we will have local musicians providing live music during bread days. In addition, bread days will either coincide with a unique meat preparation, think pig roast and a low-country boil, or a farmer’s market during which we offer wood-fired pizzas.

For the market, local artisans from around the valley will come and sell their crafts: art, jewelry, meat, eggs, produce, and metal work. Please check dates above to confirm what is happening!

We are Fawn and Daniel Shear

This farm, bakery, and Air BnB are certainly a dream come true for us, a dream that began during Daniel’s first deployment to Afghanistan.

Our dream was to raise our family on a farm, grow our own food, and bring beauty and nourishment to the community surrounding us. We hope to do that by providing you and your family with the most nourishing products while allowing you the space to unwind, rest, and linger on our farm.
